Last summer I did a big mural in the Sodo district of Seattle, WA. Here is a totally rad documentary film about the project. Video by Newspin Photo.
Painted this for my buddy Evan. In celebration of his brother who passed away and loved long boards.

I was asked by Jesse to paint on his grandfathers 1958-1959 varsity jacket. The jacket had gotten some water damage and staining over the years and Jesse wanted me to put some art on it to breath new life into it. I thought that was a cool idea and I was super down.

Start with a pencil sketch… Then add inks… Then photograph it and bring it into computer and make it a clean… Then put it into adobe illustrator and do some rough color fills… Then bring it back to photoshop and layer on textures and effects… Then add font and present to client… Then cash check :)
This is a commissioned piece i did for a friends band. The band wanted a character to use for band art like album art/tshirts/ stickers/ whatever. I start with a drawing like this… Then I take a photograph of that drawing. Then I bring it into adobe illustrator and fill it in with color. Then I bring it into photoshop and add textures to make it look like it has been painted and it ends up looking like this…

Sean Jewell from The Stranger came to my art studio and interviewed me about my work and my upcoming art show “Reincarnated”. “It’s an interesting outlook. He’s taking art that is designed to blend into the décor, or lull you into a docile state in the lobby of some bank or office building, and making them burst with blobs of color. He’s taking something someone just barely valued enough to not throw away and giving it life. Reincarnation isn’t just a name for his art show; it’s a theme extending from his personal… Read More
