I was asked by Jesse to paint on his grandfathers 1958-1959 varsity jacket. The jacket had gotten some water damage and staining over the years and Jesse wanted me to put some art on it to breath new life into it. I thought that was a cool idea and I was super down.
Recently Converse hit me up to hand paint 30 pairs of Chucks for their Pop Up Shop at Nordstrom’s in Bellevue square! They shipped me a bunch of their shoes and I started Painting! Start with a pencil sketch… Then add inks… Then photograph it and bring it into computer and make it a clean… Then put it into adobe illustrator and do some rough color fills… Then bring it back to photoshop and layer on textures and effects… Then add font and present to client… Then cash check :)

This is a commissioned piece I did for a couple in New Jersey. They had a couple criteria: 1. their cat “lucky” had to be in the painting. 2. there needed to be a ship in the background. … nailed it.
